Great PPA Markets

As I stated in my previous post, I have started to focus on PPA since the beginning of the year and have been amazed at the results (I was able to make money right from the beginning.) Since the beginning of the year I have been testing various PPA offers and markets and have found some winners and some losers. With the winners I have expanding my efforts and with the losers I have cut my losses and moved on to testing other offers.

Here are some of the best markets and offers that have provided the highest rate of return:

1. Online Movie Rentals - 4:1 ROI

With online movie rentals I have been able to earn a 4:1 return on my money (meaning that for every $10 I spend on traffic, I make $40.) This was the first market that I tried and was amazed at the results, it has also turned out to be my best performing market.

2. Online Tax Services - 3:1 ROI

With tax season in full gear, I started testing some online tax service offers that have managed to generate a 3:1 return ($10 spent - $30 made). Unfortunately tax season is starting to wind done and will be done within a month. But the ride has been fun, and I plan on ramping up my tax campaigns even earlier next year.

3. Ringtones - 2.5:1 ROI

With all the buzz about ringtones, I decided to try my towel into the fray and see what I could do. Well the first month I lost money, but learned a lot through my testing. I finally broke even about half way through the second month, and now my campaigns are generating a 2.5:1 return ($10 invested - $25 made). I will say that this market is not for the faint at heart - you will have to work hard and test many different ads, keywords and landing page combinations to finally find what works.

Right now I am focused on finding other markets that can provide even better returns. Again the key is to continuely test and retest until you start getting the return that you want and then move on to the next offer.

Moving from PPC to PPA

It has been a long time since I posted, but I have been very busy working on building up my online income. In the process I have begun to switch my focus from PPC (pay-per-click - google adsense) to PPA (pay-per-action - Azoogle). The reason is that the PPA offers pay out much better so there is a huge upside to learning how to compete in the PPA markets.

Using PPC to drive traffic to PPA offers

The fastest way that I have found to make money from PPA offers is to create simple landing pages for offers and then drive traffic to those landing pages using PPC. This seems easy but there are quite a bit of pitfalls that can quickly run your costs up. The key is to test, test, and then test some more.

When I want to target a new offer, I create a landing page or landing pages that focuses on the keywords that I want to target (very important if you are using Google AdWords). Then I create some testing compaigns at various PPC engines. I monitor and tweak the campaigns until either: 1. I start getting conversions and making money, or 2. the costs of the test campaigns reach the payout of the offer without getting any conversions. I keep all campaigns that make money and delete those that don't.

Next post I will reveal some of the markets that are making me the most money...
